Filter for Purifying Dirty Water at Andijan Machine-Building Institute
The Andijan Machine-Building Institute has a policy on preventing and reducing river and channel pollution from land-based activities. The urban forest and surrounding lakes are maintained by the Universitas.
Government Regulations
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 981 of December 11, 2019, the following measures are defined:
- Procedure for determining water protection and sanitary protection zones.
- Regulations for conducting business to prevent pollution and manage water resources effectively.

Waste Management
The Rector of Andijan Machine-Building Institute has implemented several policies to support water system pollution reduction, including:
- Rector Decree Letter Number 386 about decreasing paper and plastic use.
- Rector Decree Letter Number 16 of 2020 regarding the Zero Plastic program.
Wastewater Treatment
The Institute has a wastewater management system to prevent polluted water from entering the water system. This includes:
- A domestic wastewater treatment plant to recycle wastewater.
- Recycled water is directed to infiltration wells for use as reserved water resources.
- Capacity for reserving water: 12 m3/day.
Water Quality Standards
Andijan Machine-Building Institute has established water quality standards and guidelines for water discharges to protect ecosystems, wildlife, and human health.
